Responsibilities include representing the company in troubled asset restructurings and loan workouts in 11 states. The position works closely with special assets officers on commercial loan workouts and restructurings, loan amendments, bankruptcy and commercial loan collection, recovery and related litigation. Commercial - Global Pharmaceutical Company in Northern New Jersey is seeking an Assistant General Counsel. This position will provide innovative and strategic legal support and solutions to the Company's Sales and Medical Affairs departments, develop and deliver training programs, provide contract review, and propose, develop, and implement new company policy to supported areas. The position additionally provides legal support to several of the Company's administrative departments including Information Systems (IS), New Product Planning and Finance. Candidates must have at least 8 years of legal experience and a minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience. A minimum of 7 years pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred. In House Counsel- Independent Research Laboratory in New York City seeks an extremely bright and talented lawyer with approximately 5-9 years experience to be its first In House Counsel under the leadership of the Chief Scientist who is currently on the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology. Candidates must have exceptional communication skills and will have direct contact with the Chief Scientist. Must have true "hands on" experience negotiating and drafting IP-related agreements and licensing transactions. The ideal candidate will come from or have spent time with a technology start-up or scientific company in the biotech or other mixed science field.
