Commercial - Global Pharmaceutical Company in Northern New Jersey is seeking a Senior Counsel to work in Andover, MA or in Northern New Jersey. Responsibilities include advising senior management across a broad range of areas including legal, compliance, liability matters, dispute management and resolution, contractual relations, human subject protections, scientific exchange, sponsored research, IP, and facility related matters. Further responsibility for negotiating and drafting various contracts and licenses. Candidates must have 9+ (minimum 9) years experience as a practicing, licensed "corporate" practitioner (some experience as a commercial litigator is acceptable, provided the candidate's primary recent practice has been transactional). At least 4 years prior experience advising on pharmaceutical/biologics matters and laws, and knowledge of either or both of these industries is required. Prior in-house pharmaceutical experience is preferred. Prior experience in a research institution dealing with pharmaceutical/biologics research matters will be considered in lieu of actual pharma experience. Candidate must have had significant client contact and responsibility at various levels (operations and management), preferably including as an advisor to the clinical R&D functions and related functions. Prior licensing experience is highly desirable, and understanding of IP considerations. Must have excellent contract drafting and significant pharmaceutical transactional experience (an emphasis on support for the R&D function is strongly preferred); and interest in participating in a diversified, fast-paced multi-dimensional practice with significant client advising, contract and related transactional work; ability to "switch gears" quickly and tackle diverse issues. Commercial Contracts- Global Pharmaceutical Company in New Jersey is seeking an Associate Director/Director to oversee its R&D Contracting Operations Department. There will be substantial interface with other members of the legal department as well as various business units. This position is responsible for implementing a successful Ethics and Compliance program and for training, developing and managing the staff, resources and budget of the compliance department. This position will also provide leadership in the development of a compliance risk management program. The attorney in this role will manage an internal audit group, will implement a company wide confidential reporting program and will have ownership of the compliance hotline. There will be further responsibility for conducting investigations in response to audit findings and complaints. Candidates should have a minimum of 15 years experience including significant experience in compliance.
