Princeton Legal Search Group has been retained by a national energy company to lead the search for an experienced commercial contracts lawyer. This position reports directly to the General Counsel and is responsible for providing company-wide counsel in the areas of contracts, data privacy and data security protection.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary lawyer negotiating and drafting commercial contracts, with a focus on Master Service Agreements with third parties.
- Provide overall direction and short and long-term strategic support to business units within the Company regarding commercial contracting.
- Function as an administrator of the Company’s contract management software and assist with the day-to-day management of the software, including training employees on how to use the software as needed.
- Serve as the primary legal support to business units within the Company on matters representing data privacy and data security protection efforts.
Requirements
- Significant experience drafting, negotiating, and reviewing commercial contracts
- JD degree from an ABA accredited law school
- A minimum of 5 years relevant legal experience, preferably of which includes in-house experience
Salary will be commensurate with experience. This position is eligible for performance bonus and equity.
