Global law firm has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a senior-level or mid-level privacy lawyer in the Data, Privacy & Cybersecurity Group. The firm is consistently among the top firms on the Am Law Global 100. The position can be based in the Denver, Chicago, Phoenix, or Orlando offices.
Job Requirements:
Excellent academic credentials; 2020 or earlier law school graduate with 3 to 8+ years of experience specializing in data privacy matters; A sophisticated understanding of how web technologies work; superior writing skills, strong work ethic, great communication skills, comfort with ambiguity, and outstanding interpersonal skills. Knowledge of emerging U.S. state privacy laws, knowledge of and experience assisting companies to develop global privacy programs, and with compliance with GLBA, HIPAA, TCPA, CAN-SPAM, GDPR, ePrivacy Directive, and global privacy laws and regulations. Experience drafting and negotiating professional services agreements, technology licenses, and other types of commercial agreements involving data sharing. Experience drafting and revising privacy notices, terms of service, incident response plans, information security policies, and other data protection policies. Willingness and desire to learn; IAPP Certification preferred.
