Mary Clare Garber is a Principal of Princeton Legal Search Group where she has led General Counsel searches and spearheads the growth of the company through strategic initiatives and the creation and execution of a comprehensive marketing program which leverages new technologies and social media.
Mary Clare held progressively responsible positions in major corporations such as Merck-Medco and Smith Barney where she was a Vice President. Throughout her career, Mary Clare led Talent Management and Succession Planning for high growth companies. Additionally, she managed national accounts for Lee Hecht Harrison providing diverse career navigation programs including AT&T during the trivestiture of the company. Her career is uniquely balanced between managing large scale, complex talent acquisition through the C-Suite, creating and facilitating career development and succession planning and managing the marketing of career management services to Fortune 100 companies. She enjoys partnering with senior level management to achieve objectives.
Mary Clare has led dynamic General Counsel searches in life sciences, banking and higher education markets and enjoys the prospect of meeting new clients and candidates. Inside and outside of work Mary Clare is known as a “connector”.
Mary Clare serves as an Officer of the Board of Directors for Executive Women of New Jersey, has chaired the Scholarship Committee and now chairs the Policy Committee. She received EWNJ’s Salute to the Policy Makers 2018 recognition, which honors the contributions of high-achieving New Jersey women leaders from both the private and the public sectors.
Mary Clare was recognized as one of New Jersey’s Best 50 Women in Business 2014 by NJBIZ and was selected to serve as a judge for NJBIZ Best 50 Women in Business 2016.
Mary Clare welcomes speaking commitments on career management topics and has presented at variety of organizations including General Counsel Connect, Association of Corporate Counsel, the Association for Corporate Growth, NJ Women Lawyers Association, the Hispanic Bar Association, the Garden State Bar Association, Law Firm Groups, and a variety of business professional associations.
Mary Clare loves NYC Theater, the arts, and museums throughout the US. She is passionate about “open water” swims in the Atlantic or Pacific oceans.
